High-end pastries

“Haute pâtisserie” is the equivalent of star chefs for pastries. Michelin stars don’t exist for pastries but if they did for sure the addresses I give you would be three-Michelin- stars

  • Carl Marletti – the best “éclairs” of Paris according to me… try also “la tarte au citron” (lemon pie), “le Paris-Brest” (with praliné), “Lilly Valley” (The pastry chef’s wife is a florist…) – 51, rue Censier – 75005 Paris
  • Christophe Michalak – Pastry world champion in 2005 – 8 Rue du Vieux Colombier, 75006 Paris
  • Pierre Hermé (THE macaron pope) – 8 Rue du Vieux Colombier, 75006 Paris and many other addresses in Paris
  • Angélina – 226 Rue de Rivoli 75001 Paris – it is a Parisian institution (a “salon de thé” or tea room) for its old style hot chocolate, its “Mont blanc” pastry and it’s 18th century authentic decoration… for teatime
  • Other addresses coming (I really love writing this blog. It gives me hopefully a good reason to visit and taste pastries 🙂
